The Superior General's visit to Nova Contagem, Brazil.

From 16 to 22 January 2026, Bro. Dionigi Taffarello, the Superior General visited the Nova Contagem community in Brazil, which has been under the direct responsibility of the Central Administration since 2022.

The Brothers showcased the wonderful work of Brothers Daniel Petiteau, Marcos Rodarte and José Valdir. The neighbourhood and the parish deeply appreciate their presence for their pastoral and social service, and for their witness of fraternal life.

The community's collaboration with the Montfort Missionaries is particularly significant, as they support the GAMO (Friends of Montfort) groups and promote Montfortian spirituality across various cities in Brazil. The community also runs the CECOM (Community Education Centre), which offers training courses to the local population. It also collaborates with the Conference of Religious of Minas Gerais in the formation of religious candidates.
