Delegation from Senegal and Benin for Canonization

On Sunday, May 17, 2015, in St. Peter’s Square in Rome, Pope Francis, during the Eucharistic Celebration, canonized four Sisters. One of them is Jeanne Emilie de Villeneuve, foundress of the Congregation of the Sisters of Immaculate Conception of Castres.


The Brothers of the General House in Rome have been delighted to welcome the delegation from Senegal and Benin led by Bishop Benjamin Ndiaye, archbishop of Dakar.

Twenty Novices from Eachinkadu novitiate, India made their first profession on 25th April 2015, during a solemn Holy Eucharist celebration at Montfort Chapel. It was presided over by his Excellency Rt.Rev.Dr. Singaroyan, the Bishop of Salem. Provincial Superiors of Yercaud, Trichy, Hyderabad and Pune were present on the occasion. Many Brothers from various Provinces in India and relatives of most of the newly professed Brothers participated in the solemn ceremony and the felicitation thereafter.


The newly Professed Brothers belong to various Provinces. Five each to Yercaud, Hyderabad and Pune Provinces. Three for Trichy and one each for Delhi and Ranchi Provinces.


We welcome them into our family to participate in our life and mission. The GNB thanks the staff of the Novitiate for forming and shaping these young Brothers.
