As part of the tercentenary commemoration of the death of St. Louis de Montfort, a symposium on the theme: “Montfort: Foolishness and Wisdom” was held on 2 and 3 June 2016 by the Faculty of Theology and Religious Sciences of the Catholic University of the West (France) in partnership with the Montfortian Family. The participants, composed mainly of members of the Montfortian Family, were around 175 persons. Bro. John Kallarackal, Superior General gave the introductory address. Tercentenary Celebration of the Death of St. Louis de Montfort, in Gitega, Burundi.

To mark this great event of the Congregation, the Montfort Missionaries, the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, the Institute of the Militants of the Blessed Virgin, and the Associates (Friends of Montfort, Members of the Legion of Mary, Mary Queen of All Hearts Fraternity, etc) organized a Triduum in honor of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort. The event was held every afternoon, from 27 to 29 April 2016, in the Annunciation chapel of the Institute of the Militants of the Blessed Virgin.
