Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC)

“Let ours be a time for the awakening of a new reverence for life, the firm resolve to achieve sustainability, the quickening of the struggle for justice and peace, and the joyful celebration of life” (Earth Charter)

“By your religious profession, you commit yourself to follow Christ more closely, and thus associate yourself more intimately with His mission of are ready to go anywhere, suffer anything with Him and for Him.” (RL 58).

It is important, moreover, to emphasize that solidarity with poor countries in the process of development can point towards a solution of the current global crisis, as politicians and directors of international institutions have begun to sense in recent times. Through support for economically poor countries… not only can true economic growth be generated, but a contribution can be made towards sustaining the productive capacities of rich countries that risk being compromised by the crisis.(Caritas in Veritate No 27)

“Go to those who are lowly, marginalised or rejected, try to understand them and be close to them. Let your attitude reveal to them the love Christ and His Church bear them. Make known to them the Good News of the Hope that is Christ.” R.L. 35
