Session of the AMGC – Charismatic Families (Association of the Members of General Councils – Charismatic Families) November 4 – 5, 2016
Rome 09, 2016: Bro. Yvan Passebon, in charge of Partnership in the Congregation, and Bro. Maurice Hérault, International Secretary for Partnership, participated, for the second consecutive year, in the session organized by the AMGC – Charismatic Families.
The Theme of the Session was: Charismatic Families in dialogue. Members of General Councils and other Religious men and women, Members of Secular Institutes and a significant number of lay leaders of various associations took part in the session.
Input sessions and group sharing between the participants showed how this reality of “Charismatic Family” is growing in the Church.
The definition of “Charismatic Family” already given by Pope Francis, was repeated during the session: The Charismatic Family is a family that “includes Lay Christians who feel called, while remaining in their lay condition, to participate in the same charismatic reality as the Religious. “
One of the speakers, Rino Cozza, cjs, defined the Family, in this context “as the meeting of two different realities (Religious and Laity) who relate – not just in one way – and share a project of Evangelical Life that gives shape to a lifestyle imbued with the spirituality of a Founder. “
