2nd Session of the 27th Provincial Chapter, In Barcelona.

On 25, 26 and 27 May, in the city of Barcelona, the Brothers of St. Gabriel held the second session of their 27th Provincial Chapter. In presence, of our special guest, Bro. Yvan Passebon, Vicar General, the Provincial Chapter discussed and voted on the various proposals for the elaboration of the Provincial Planning for the years 2017 to 2019. Shared Gabrielite Mission Meeting at “Ciudad del Bienestar” (St. Gabriel’s ”City of Well-being”)

The last encounter of Laity and Brothers of the Central Region (Roa and Aranda) was took place on Saturday, November 5. Altogether 23 persons, including Teachers, Collaborators and Brothers took part in it. The venue was ''Ciudad del Bienestar de Aranda'' (the City of Well-Being), where six Brothers and a few aged people are accommodated presently.  March against Hunger in the little world of ST.GABRIEL – ARANDA DE  DUERO – St.MIGUEL – ROA: Over thousand students from the schools of the Claretians, of the Dominican Sisters, of Vera Cruz, of St.Gabriel and St.Miguel participated, on May 20th, in the first March against Hunger organized by these schools in partnership with the NGO ‘Action against Hunger‘, engaged in fighting hunger. Thanksgiving Day (II) BROTHERS OF SAINT-GABRIEL – TERCENTENARY – SPAIN

On Saturday 23rd April, the ‘Colegio San Gabriel’, Madrid, adorned with garlands, was the venue of the celebration for the Tercentenary of the Death of St. Louis-Marie de Montfort and the birth of the first Brothers of St.Gabriel. Over half a thousand participants (families, teachers, students, alumni and a delegation from Ribera de Duero) had responded to the invitation to come and celebrate the event. Act of solidarity with the victims of the Umpqua Community College

The gabrielite educational community of La Aguilera-Aranda de Duero remembered in an intimate act of support and solidarity with the dead and wounded from Umpqua Community College. At the foot of the Virgen of Patio, a prayer service was held  with deep respect for this American school where, at this time, Asier Calvo – student of Higher Level in Viticulture – is in educational exchange. The school calendar marks the beginning of course as San Gabriel -City of Education opens its doors for another year with renewed enthusiasm and with fully charged batteries. St. Gabriel School, Spain participated in Global Contest for Vocational Training

In Brazilian city of Sao Paulo was held a global contest for Vocational Training. In that, Welding Section of St. Gabriel School represented Spain in the special category of “Welding”. Eighty-Nine countries participated in the World Vocational Training with 93 training specialties. The representation of our Center includes the student Rubén Sancho, gold medalist at the last national competition FP. Next to him traveling, two teachers of Welding Section, Ismael and Daniel.
